There are two possibilities of shooting a longbow.
1. Possibility:
You span the bow with your blade bones until your shooting hand touches your face. You could decide where your hand should touch the face. The main thing about it is that your hand has to touch the same position every shoot you take. You stay a little second in this position to correct your shoot and loose the bow.
Many people asked me how to take aim while shooting a longbow. So the best thing of taking aim is to look over your arrow tip. (I explain it in the category of recurvebows/ the shoot)
To get you a little hint about it:
Shooting distance 33 feet: the arrow tip should be a little bit under the target.
Shooting distance 66 feet: the arrow tip should be in the middle of the target.
Shooting distance 99 feet: the arrow tip should be a little bit over the target.
These hints are flexible. When you use a stronger bow this hints change. It is just a thing of practice. But tell me a sport where you don’t have you practice…
